How far does a corrupt man bring down a system? The answer is unthinkable, unimaginable disaster. British government might have superb and magnificent Corruption Perception Index, but it doesn’t make Russian government buy it. Russian doesn’t buy such a crap, and we can see that in the most recent Aaron Eckhart’s movie entitled London Has Fallen.
The movie is started by a scene in which Aamir Barkawi (Alon Moni Aboutboul), a notorious terrorist godfather, has his daughter’s wedding ceremony in Pakistan bombed by a collaborative action of counter-terrrorist governments. Somehow, he is survived along with his sons. Two years later, they launch revenge: First, by killing British Prime Minister James Wilson; and Second, by killing all leaders of developed countries who attend his funeral. Having unprecedented disbelief towards British’s campaign for having the best military and security system, Russian leader refuses to attend the occasion: and seems to be the only man who survives from brutal killing of world leaders in London. They’re all killed while trying to evade terrorist attack. Thanks to courageous action of Mike Banning (Gerard Butler), Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart), the U.S. President kidnapped by Aamir’s squad, manages to survive. Mike, the Secret Service Agent who is now serving in Presidential Protection Division and having close relationship with Benjamin, frees the president from being killed in front of billions of eyes worldwide by Kamran (Waleed Zuaiter). To do his mission, Mike gets assistance from SAS personnels led by Lieutenant Will Davis (Bryan Larkin).
Directed by Babak Najafi, London Has Fallen will alter our understanding about terrorism and counter-terrorism initiatives. They’re all about business, vengeance and never truly about humanity or even religious causes. It’s a child’s play which an adult won’t take it seriously and prefer to portray it into movies of marvelous and great actions such as London Has Fallen. Hailed as a Hollywood movie, many Russians involved in the making of London Has Fallen. Watch this movie. You will regret it if you don’t. Trust me.
